About Flanders Fine Arts
Operations are based on an six-acre compound owned by Bob Crozier located in a hamlet of Southampton. In addition to the fully acclimatized warehouse offering customized storage solutions, there are adjacent, standalone buildings including space for private viewings, pop-up gallery showcases, and hospitality events.
The Flanders Fine Arts team has global experience with some of the largest fine art logistics and storage providers, developed in transport and handling, project management, real estate and strategy roles. They have worked with prominent artists, established dealers, and discerning collectors.
The business offers local (North and South Fork) installation and a weekly shuttle to New York City in addition to storage and related warehouse handling and collection services.
Bob Crozier founded Crozier Fine Arts in 1976 and grew it into one of the world's largest fine art storage and logistics providers. He ultimately sold the eponymous business to an S&P 500 component corporation.
Crozier played a key role in the burgeoning downtown New York contemporary art scene, becoming the first to deliver full lifecycle, integrated fine art services – from packing and crating, installation, local transport and international shipping, through acclimatized warehousing in Manhattan’s first standalone art storage facility. Crozier ultimately developed America’s largest art-storage footprint by square feet, including the use of proprietary insulation, humidification and air recirculation methods to achieve optimum energy efficiency
By bringing museum quality standards and methods to the servicing of commercial clients, Bob Crozier quickly established his reputation as an industry thought leader, and he has since introduced many technological improvements to the safe-keeping of art, including the use of climate-controlled vehicles, the conception and application of a bespoke fine arts workflow software tool for project management, pricing and inventory tracking, and overseeing the development of a five-category inspection report. Bob Crozier has been invited to give workshops for art insurers, and he ultimately chaired the ICEFAT panel responsible for the industry-standard ‘Fine Art Storage Best Practices Manual’.
